Ski touring is not only the traditional way of skiing, but a lot of fun and a great way to explore the backcountry to find untouched powder. Join the Snowbusters Ski Touring Camp to learn why no lifts and no crowds is the way to go.
If you are a mountain freak and want to experience the Alpine winter up close, but a long way from the lively pistes, then the Ski Touring Camp is for you. Suitable for all competent skiers and snowboarders we’ll show you around the peaceful mountains and virgin slopes.
All Snowbusters Ski Touring trips are led by fully certified UIAGM guides or local guides with the required certification. Safety is our number priority when touring, so you’ll be instructed on how to use avalanche equipment and how to perform a rescue.
Of course, making the most of your time in the mountains is just as important. So we provide coaching to improve your skiing or snowboarding, all while freeriding as much as possible.
SAFETY & AVALANCHES
During the week will spend a lot of time learning about safety in the mountains. Specifically, how to avoid an avalanche through understanding conditions, reading snow profiles, and simple snow stability tests. You’ll learn how to perform an avalanche rescue if things go wrong along with some useful first aid.
Although there is some theory, most of it is taught in real-life situations on the mountain. Snowbusters will demonstrate how to organize a group avalanche rescue and you’ll take part in plenty of simulations. This includes multiple backfilling, digging victims, and hypothermic treatment.
TRIP PLANNING
We teach you how to recognize and avoid potential problems early enough (conditions, terrain, human factors)
